SIMS – FreshQuest
FreshQuest was my Master's final project at SIMS. With Megan Finn, we conducted ethnographic research about the communication habits of Berkeley Freshmen. We surveyed a few hundred students to get an overview of their historical and current use of technology, and we interviewed about 20 students to get detailed information about their experiences with technology.
We reported our results in a variety of formats -- a final presentation, several papers, and a website. The information we collected was incredibly valuable to us, to the MacArthur Digital Youth project, and to other SIMS students. We also were the runners up for the Dr. James R. Chen Award for outstanding final project.
The images here are taken from our final presentation (.ppt).
